🛡️ Ceramic Coating Process: Step-by-Step
-
Step 1: Deep Exterior Wash & Decontamination
-
We start with a thorough hand wash using a pH-balanced shampoo to remove dirt, dust, and surface grime.
-
Followed by iron and tar removal to break down embedded contaminants like brake dust and road grime.
-
A clay bar treatment is then performed to smooth out the paint surface and ensure it’s contaminant-free.
-
This is crucial so the coating can bond directly to clean, bare paint without interference.
-
Step 2: Paint Correction (if needed)
-
Before coating, we inspect the paint under LED lighting and correct imperfections like swirls, oxidation, and minor scratches using a polishing machine.
-
Why? Ceramic coating locks in the paint's current condition—so we make sure it’s flawless before sealing it.
-
Paint correction may be 1-step, 2-step, or 3-step depending on the vehicle’s condition.
-
Step 3: Surface Preparation
-
We perform a panel wipe using an alcohol-based solution to remove all polishing oils, waxes, and residues.
-
This ensures a perfect bond between the ceramic coating and the paint, allowing maximum durability and effectiveness.
-
Step 4: Ceramic Coating Application
-
The ceramic coating is carefully applied by hand using a dedicated applicator pad, working in small sections at a time.
-
We allow the coating to flash (cure slightly), then level and buff it to ensure an even, high-gloss finish.
-
Depending on the product, we may apply multiple layers for enhanced thickness and protection.
-
Step 5: Curing Time
-
Once applied, the vehicle needs to cure undisturbed for several hours (or up to 24 hours in-shop).
-
We may use infrared lamps to accelerate curing, depending on the environment and product used.
-
During this period, the coating hardens and begins to form a semi-permanent bond with the surface.
-
Step 6: Final Inspection & Delivery
-
We perform a full inspection under proper lighting to ensure a flawless, streak-free finish.
-
The vehicle is delivered with care instructions, including curing guidelines (no washing for 5–7 days) and maintenance tips for long-term performance.
